Black Light Flashlight Buying Guide

There are two types of black light flashlights but there is only one type that you should be bothered with.

What you want to buy is an LED black light flashlight and they can be bought very cheaply. You can find tons of LED black light flashlights here cheap and with free shipping as an added bonus. Here’s why you want an LED black light flashlight and not the other type.

Most black light flashlights are pocket sized.

If you come across any “black light blue” flashlights put them down and walk away slowly. They just don’t produce enough light to create the desired black light effect. A lot of ultra violet light is what you are after and some “black light blue” flashlights don’t produce any ultra violet light at all.

You wont come across too many of these black light flashlights. You can easily identify a “black light blue” flashlight by the bulb. It’s going to look light a small incandescent bulbs or some sort of compact fluorescent.

LED black light flashlights put out tons of useful ultraviolet light. These flashlights are strong enough to be used for industrial inspections, checking for pet stains in your carpet, or just to have a little black light fun. They are very versatile and small enough to fit in your pocket. Most run on just a few triple A batteries and will run on them for eight hours or more.

Editors Tip: When shopping for a uv black light flashlight you can compare the number of “nm” that the flashlight gives off. Nm is a measurement of how much light the bulb will produce for you at its peak. The higher the nm the more light the flashlight will give off.
